City of Heroes – Still hope for the game’s survival
Reported a couple of days ago, City of Heroes, and if I remember correctly the first superhero MMORPG to hit the market in 2004, will be shutting down after NCsoft decided to close down Paragon Studios.
According to the latest news, the management team of Paragon Studios is in talks with NCsoft to save the game from its demise come November, though nothing is confirmed at this moment.
The fans and players of City of Heroes are not resting their laurels either, with a petition surfacing since the sudden announcement was made. In 4 days, over 13,000 signatures were pledged to keep the game alive. An impressive number, which is telling how big and loyal the fanbase is.
