(Game website) Following Lineage II going Free to Play, NCsoft has now teamed up with European game publisher, GameForge, to launch Aion Free to Play in February early next year. If you are from Europe and currently playing on the North America server, you can op for a server change now, which will only go into effect once the EU servers are up.
Version 3.0 (see trailer below) will be updated as well, with all content free. More details at the source link given. I wonder how will the North American and other English players react...

GameForge are publishing the game, which means that they have nothing to do with updates.
I am curious about NA players, as for rest they should play for at least 1 month now to get veteran rank, seems thats main deal with ncsoft here, without veteran U wont be able even to trade with others
new player of a mmo doesnt know why all sites they say F2P, he/she will get confused, and also for old gamers has not anymore logic the word F2P
pay to play it was a mistake !!! why...?! for simple reason not all ppl want to try without know it and who try it not means he/she will keep pay and play, cuz perhaps he/she doesnt likes and it will sucks for him/her, therefore he/she will find something which likes and which in long time make him/her also to buy cuz anyway he/she thinks is no best game than his/her and also he/she invested time and perhaps he/she will not want to start all over again in other game (lol im sure that many players thinks so,cuz i keep hear say about games which i belive they suck and players say are the best of bests , so it isnt easy to change what he/she likes..)
the problem with shop from games F2P is that most of games dont think to get money in long time ..and even more worst they make mistakes with prices or items and those are also too high or make u to waste too much money or even more worst unbalance the gameplay for casher who spend money to another casher which spend even more money and that one he/she ill win, therefore a VIP title or premium services it will be welcome, especially in a game as type pvp casual, cuz that is unfair and stupid!
Any publisher doesnt wants anymore p2p and the result u see it in any good game which turns nowadays in F2P, also this games have strong community with ppl which usually play for a long period cuz the gameplay is more fun.. or other type it will be to unlock char, for example, from lvl 20-40, im sure it will be a methode very common in the future... Unlock to pay U2P ..lol

this might sound stupid but its going f2p but we still gotta pay for the game or its totally free?
