So, after the previous tour of Shaolin, this time I will be taking a tour of Wudang. If you noticed, the Wudang clan in Age of Wulin uses dual swords as the main weapon starting off. The weapon itself is 1 item, not 2 single swords by the way. I don't think I came across a game where Wudang utilized this weapon (heavy 2-handed sword is actually a legit weapon according to Wudang lore, another branch of Wudang), but I am kind of lazy to dig further into the history books. And oh, both males and females characters are accepted into Wudang.
Wudang is a huge place, with cliffs and more cliffs going up to the skies. Much space is still rather empty, but all these will just give Snail Game more creativity in placing new NPCs, Miracle Encounters and quests as the game development progresses. I am touring Er Mei clan now, and if you think Wudang and Shaolin is huge, Er Mei will be bringing "huge" to the next level...

Wudang with 2-swordsplay sounds really really wrong... Is there no way to be single-handed swordsmen?
1) 太極劍 - epicly powerful in all Jinyong series
2) 神門十三劍 - average.
3) 兩儀劍法 - is very rarely known.
4) 柔雲劍術 - rare
Man when this game comes out, life=gone :)
Oh and does anyone else think that the graphic style is very similar to 9Dragons? Better, of course.

lol at those 9Dragons fans ,,,theres nothing similar to 9D ,only the time in which is placed, 9D is a wannabe kung fu mmo, AoW is the real deal ,

Well that game is really old. Of course they look similar, both being martial arts mmos. It's not like they are going for a unique art style...
Anyways, the animation and sound effects seem a lot better. The two swords look very nice compared to unarmed. Not much else to add I suppose so I'll look forward to the next tour =P
You are forced to use 2 swords with wu-tang or you can use 1 sword too? And what about hand-to-hand combat? You can only use hand-to-hand skills with specified clans?
9d was good in the first half of 2007 but they screwed it after that.
@vX-2 You can absolutely be 1-handed swordsman, I clearly remember a trailer with that.
There is only 1 weapon choice at the start. Even if you wield a single-hand sword, you must have the skills for it as well.

By that, I hope you don't mean Wu-dang only gives you 2-handed wielding skills? else, it'd be big big disappointment; was expecting for tachi-palm and tachi-swordsplay (single-hand sword). =(
Starting out, the first set of skills will be the same for everyone, some basic fist and kick skills.
After joining clans, Wudang's first set of skills will be the dual-swords. I guess you will have to advance further into the game to open new weapon skill trees.
Age of Wulin is about taking time to build your own character, you won't be able to hit every set of skills within a short period of time.
I guess as single-sword play is Wudang's signature, the developer did not want to throw it out to players at the very beginning.
